Whirlwind Weekend

Above: Sophia, after flying down on Friday and being passed around by family all weekend, was too tired to sleep on our flight back to Atlanta today. That is, she was too tired to sleep without going through some crying and fussing first, which we were trying hard to prevent. We spent the entire flight keeping her awake and as entertained as possible. By the end, we were rocking her (which, in an airline seat, is a pretty good abdominal workout).

Way Below: Claire watches television. This is Matt and Katie's daughter. (That makes her Arica's neice, and so my neice in law or something.) She'll be two years old soon. She's a hoot. More pictures later.

He really wanted to select either Joe Lieberman or Tom Ridge, but both are pro-choice, and he was warned by conservatives that any pro-choicer would lead to a tremendous floor flight and fracturing of the party.
