July Eleventh ("Go Zebra Go!"):
Sg was loving one of these zebras over at a friend's house, so AT found this one on craigslist for $15. Go Zebra, Go!
July Twelfth (Best Video Ever):
I've been lax about processing and posting the daily July videos, but please be assured that I am capturing such videos. In an effort to catch up, I'll try to post two a day for the next few days. That way, we'll be caught up on the 16th, and halfway through the month to boot! Ready? Pay attention — here's July ninth and tenth:
July Ninth:
I don't know why I like it so much, but I really enjoy watching Sg's wake-up process. It's a little hard to hear, but AT says "Donald Trump hair".
July Tenth:
Sg was probably too tired for this stop at La Fonda on the way home, but she held up pretty well until time to get in the car.
She has developed a preference for not being in the car, all other things being equal, and she occasionally expresses this preference through fit throwing involving going completely rigid (so that she makes a basically isosceles triangle with the car seat). I was hoping to get one of those fits on film, but on this evening we just got tired crying. Probably better for all involved, I guess.
July Sixth:
The brushing came first.
July Seventh:
Sg learned a new word ("plop!"), and escaped from my efforts to get her dressed in order to go share with AT.
July Eighth:
Here's an abbreviated version of the trip I take with AT when she's able to pick me up before getting Sg.
July Fourth:
They have these "boats" at daycare — two benches facing each other in an arched wooden frame that is something between a rocking chair and a teeter totter. The idea of rocking and "row row row your boat" are inextricably tied up for Sg, and rocking chairs (and stools) frequently elicit the beginning of the song.
July Fifth:
Not even 19 months old, and SG already has three moves! The squat, the sitting down quickly, and the following your hip sideways around the room. She's going to be a Soooooul Train dancer, just like her daddy.

Sg gets sort of drunky and aimless when she's tired. This was taken at the end of a very long short week.
As we were leaving this morning, Paige was taking Charlie out for a walk. Sg and I said hello, and then got buckled in while AT and Paige talked. Sg wishes Charlie a sincere (if perhaps a bit belated) farewell.
She's like adorable all the time or something. I'm going to try to take a video a day of Sg during July, or, failing that, take 31 videos of Sg in July. I may not get them all posted in July.
This was taken this evening just before dinner. "Nana" was once the general term for "food" (it was her favorite, and classmate Jack had one every morning at school), and is still used that way sometimes. In this case, she is, in fact, pointing at a banana. My response, however, is a few months behind, as I am referring to Sg's (sort of weird, now that I think about it) dinner of strawberries, blackberries, wild rice and a bit of barbecue chicken.
Sg will be 19 months old on Sunday.
