WNBA Sophia

Sophia went for her 9 month checkup at the doctors last Friday (9/7/07). One surprising thing from this visit is that Sophia is above the 95th percentile in height. Neither her mother or father can say the same. We have fun imagining ourselves sitting in the stands, tears of joy in our eyes, as she plays for the WNBA.

Sophia has also learned to sit up all on her own. She has been sitting “unsupported” for a while now. What I mean is that she can get from a laying down position to a sitting up position all by herself. She did this for the first time sometime Saturday morning (9/8/07). Easter Pictures with Bunnies

Today we took Sophia to get Easter pictures taken by a photographer that has live bunnies. We can’t wait to get the proofs back and see how they turned out.

Sophia and Bunnies

Our friends, Paula, Justin and Lucas Lee went with us. Lucas is 15 months old. He didn’t like the bunnies so much, but was still adorable!

Here is one of the bunnies trying to escape. We think maybe the bunnies were just as scared of Lucas as he was of them.

Poor Baby!

My brother and sister-in-law just had a new baby boy last Monday…Samuel Hugh Twiddy was born on March 19th. We’re very excited and can’t wait to meet our new nephew.

This is a picture of our niece, Claire, meeting her new baby brother. We hear that she adores him but just doesn’t understand why she can’t play with this great new baby doll!

The Three-Day Shit

We’ve been reading the Portable Pediatrician to keep on top of what’s going on with the baby, what to expect as normal and what to get freaked out about. One thing we’ve read, and have found to be true, is that after about 6 weeks of age the baby begins to poop less often - more like once every couple of days as opposed to the previous multiple times per day.
