Same way you eat an elephant

Until watching an episode of the Wire last night, I'd always heard the "eating an elephant" adage used as a form of encouragement, the message being that no job is too big if you have the time and motivation to get it done. It occurs to me that the adage might not be so encouraging to those who can't eat solids.

Assuming she does not actually want to lose, she must assume that her audience either doesn't know that she's lying, or doesn't care. In either case, it's deeply cynical, and deeply insulting.
