Until watching an episode of the Wire last night, I'd always heard the "eating an elephant" adage used as a form of encouragement, the message being that no job is too big if you have the time and motivation to get it done. It occurs to me that the adage might not be so encouraging to those who can't eat solids.

We've tried (I've tried, really) peek-a-boo before, but without much success. That is, I was successfully able to meet my own performance goals, but these were apparently insufficient to get the response I wanted. But today - peek a boo! She looked a lot happier about it when I didn't have the camera in front of my face, honest.
